Dr Iruka Kumarage completed his specialist training in the UK and has 25 years of experience as an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist.
With 25 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dr Iruka Kumarage provides specialist care at St John of God Berwick, Mulgrave Private and Waverley Private Hospitals. He offers comprehensive pregnancy care including high risk pregnancies, and treats a wide range of gynaecological conditions such as menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, endometriosis, fertility issues, and menopausal concerns.
Dr Iruka performs minor to major gynaecological surgeries and offers in-room procedures like Colposcopy and IUCD insertions. Having previously practiced in the UK, he has served Victorian communities since 2013. A passionate educator, he is a tutor for Monash Melbourne, and Deakin University and supervises RANZCOG trainees. Outside medicine, he enjoys sports and music, playing guitar and bamboo flute.
